"Studying Italian with Valerio was productive but also interesting and enjoyable. Productive because, thanks to him, I achieved my goal: passing the PLIDA B1 exam for citizenship. We studied all four parts of the test, so when the exam came, I was able to stay focused and face no surprises, successfully passing it as I had intended. But also interesting because Valerio is a professor, a true linguist, and he was able to explain the peculiarities of the Italian language using a language I love and understand, as I myself have completed studies in philology up to a PhD. "Prof. Valerio was one of the best teachers I've ever had. We felt comfortable, and that gave us the confidence to participate. Certainly, the conditions were ideal because it was a small class, but I've been in similarly small classes where I didn't feel as motivated to join in. Additionally, he had a great balance between theory and practice, which, after having other experiences in different languages, I am beginning to value more and more. We did grammar exercises, which are essential, especially at the beginning of any language course, but we didn't neglect conversation, which is, after all, the main goal of language learning. The grammar exercises gave us a foundation, and the conversation exercises gave us more confidence. He made an effort to talk to us about our interests and ask us questions, without judging our mistakes and sincerely prioritizing our learning above grades and everything else."

For all of this, and a lot more, I'm sure that learning with Professor Valerio made my Erasmus way better and would definitely recommend it.
